With Laines du Nord, you can always be confident in choosing a product made from certified raw materials through eco-friendly production processes. From shearing, carried out using gentle techniques and respecting animals’ natural cycles, without mulesing, to yarn dyeing, every stage of our production is environmentally friendly. Mulesing, in fact, is a controversial sheep farming practice involving the removal of skin from the perianal area to prevent fly infestations. We believe that this practice is cruel and unacceptable, which is why all our yarns are certified mulesing-free.

Laines du Nord is proud to be GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified, the most important international certification for organic textiles. This certification guarantees that our yarns are made from certified organic fibers, adhering to strict environmental and social criteria.
